Technology
The goal of the Archuleta School District Technology Department is to ensure teachers and students are able to excel and learn without any technology-related constraints. We want to enable teachers to deliver cutting-edge instruction that models innovative applications of technology in their disciplines. We want students to graduate with technology-related skills equal to or above those of students in larger districts. We aim to accomplish this while ensuring a safe digital environment that is secure and resilient in the face of increasingly sophisticated cybersecurity threats.

Our department objectives are nested within the District strategic framework and designed to support its outcomes:

1. Academic competencies (students develop competencies within foundational disciplines necessary to successfully prepare for a wide variety of careers in an ever-changing workforce)

2. Personal competencies (students make good decisions and utilize strengths)

3. Professional competencies (students manage time, collaborate with others, and independently learn new things)

4. Entrepreneurial competencies (students manage risk, make connections, and learn from failure)

5. Civic competencies (students contribute as members of the community and eventually the workforce)

6. Students learn best in an environment that is: co-created, competency-based, personalized, safe, and healthy
