Archuleta School District had their annual Welcome Back Breakfast, that included a welcome message from Board President Dr. Greg Schick, an introduction of new staff members, a presentation from F.A.C.E. members, and the much anticipated State of the District remarks from Superintendent Linda Reed.
Superintendent Linda Reed gave her annual “State of the District” address, giving updates on the many facility improvements that have happened over the summer. She also acknowledged and thanked the community of Pagosa Springs for their support with the MLO that was passed last fall, introduced the districts 3 full time SRO officers, and informed staff of the upcoming revised strategic Framework 2.0 that will be presented soon.
As their dedicated leader, Superintendent Reed closed with these remarks:
“I wish each and every one of you the best year of your career. There are many joys in what we do and there are also many challenges. I know you are all up to those challenges and will celebrate the joy with each other, every chance you get. No one ever said this work was easy. And, anything of value, takes hard work to achieve.” “We will continue to work towards creating a culture of learning where EVERY student can and does learn at high levels: Where academic excellence is what we aspire to; where grades reflect learning; where successful students are skilled navigators and problem solvers. This is our mission and our quest”. GO PIRATES!!
